We know that what many people fear most about going to the dentist is the feeling that you’re out of control. But at Advanced Dentistry of Butler, Dr. Bob and the rest of the staff do what we can to put you in control of your dental treatment. That way, you can enjoy a more comfortable and more relaxed dental experience than you’re used to. For many people, it can make all the difference.
Here’s how we put you in control.
We Listen to You
It’s one of the simplest things a dentist can do to put you at ease, but it’s something many never learn how to do: actually listening to you. But we make it a central focus of our patient-centered practice. Whether you’re here because you have a particular problem, are looking for cosmetic dentistry, or just need a checkup, we start your visit by taking the time to hear what you have to say.
This not only makes for a better experience–it makes for better care. Nobody knows your mouth better than you, and you are the one most qualified to talk about any symptoms you’re experiencing or any cosmetic goals you may have.
We Suggest, but You Decide
After we’ve talked about your experiences and your goals, we will design a treatment plan (or sometimes multiple treatment plans) to achieve your goals. But, ultimately, these are just suggestions. You have the power to decide what treatments you get.
We know that a team effort is the best way to achieve great dentistry. After all, one of our goals is to make sure that you’re happy with your treatment, and we can’t do that if you don’t get treatment that you actually want.
We Are Sensitive During Your Treatment
Dr. Bob is a gentle dentist, who is known for his compassion and caring. This doesn’t stop with just listening to your goals: he remains sensitive to your feelings during your treatment. At any time, you can ask for a break. We know it’s hard to speak while we’re working with your mouth, but we’ll work out hand signals so you can tell us to stop at any time. Then you can rest, and when you’re ready, we can resume.
That way, you remain in control throughout the procedure.
We Offer Sedation Dentistry If You Need It
We also understand that for some patients, there is no amount of gentleness that can overcome your dental anxiety. If this describes you, we offer sedation dentistry. This allows you to get the dentistry you need and desire, no matter your level of anxiety.
